A Little About the Movements- 12. Look at the Fist Under the Elbow

Published by Walker on

The title is descriptive. This move protects your side.

Another name for the move, is, “Under the Leaves Hiding a Flower.” This expresses the idea of concealment. As you walk through the forest on a carpet of leaves you may think that nothing important is concealed, yet in reality a flower is hiding beneath the leaves. Likewise, in defense the opponent sees the up-reaching striking arm and thinks there is nothing to worry about, but actually a fist is waiting underneath to protect your side and strike him if he tries to attack there.
